Default for most artists: Storage VPS S — about $6.50/mo for 800 GB.
More than enough room for working media, fan downloads, and extra tools. Pair it with
Contabo's auto-backup add-on for an extra layer on the box itself.
⚠️ Masters & backup discipline. A VPS is online storage. It is not a safe
home for irreplaceable work on its own. If you stop paying, lose access, or the provider has an
incident, the files go with it. Always keep your masters, stems, and unreleased work in at
least two more places — an external drive at home (offline / airgapped), and a separate
cloud (iCloud / Drive / Backblaze / etc.). The "3-2-1 rule": 3 copies, 2 different media, 1 offsite.
Treat the VPS as one of those copies, never the only one.
Your storage, your responsibility. When you connect your own Contabo VPS to Nerve,
the server, the files on it, the subscription, and any data loss are all between you and Contabo.
Nervebookings doesn't own your VPS, doesn't back it up for you, and isn't liable if files are
lost — whether from a missed payment, a provider issue, a bad command on your end, or anything else.
Connecting external storage means you accept that risk.

Every request has to travel there and back, so distance doubles. Pick whichever region is closest to you.

Two-factor authentication adds a 6-digit code from your phone to every sign-in. Strongly recommended before connecting external services.
